Purpose

Domains are defined within a Management Framework. Domains group processes for reporting purposes. If a Management Instance is copied from a Navvia Template, the Domains are read-only.

Steps

  1. Click on the “Domains” link on any screen for a Governance Instance. This will give you a list of the Domains for that Management Framework:

Note

The “New Domain” and “Delete Domain” buttons may be present. If so, you have the ability to add and remove domains

To view a Domain definition, click on the  icon next to a Domain.

This will give you a view of the Domain Definition:

Note

If this Management Framework had been created by your Organization, you may be able to modify the definition.

You can view both the Control Objectives and Process associated with a Domain.

To see the Control Objectives for a Domain, Click on the Expand  Icon next to a Domain name.

This will give you a list of the Control Objectives associated with that Domain:

To see a list of the Processes associated with that Domain, Click on the Processes tab.

This will give you a list of the Processes associated with that Domain:

Notes

From the “Control Objectives” tab, you can work with the Control Objectives via the “Click here to Manage Control Objectives” button. See the “Activities on Control Objectives” topic for instructions.

However, processes are not modifiable in Verify, so there is no direct “Manage” link from that tab.
