Purpose

Evidence is the proof that a Task has been completed. Evidence Definitions describe both the “what” and the “how” of this evidence.

Note

A single piece of Evidence may be associated with more than one Task Definition and a single Task Definition may require more than one piece of Evidence.


Steps

  1. Click on the “Evidence Definitions” link on any screen for a Governance Instance. This will give you a list of the Evidence Definitions associated with the Governance Instance:

  2. To see the Task Definitions associated with an Evidence Definition, Click on the Expand  Icon next to an Evidence Definition name. This will give you a list of the Task Definitions associated with that Evidence Definition:

  3. Note - You can work with the Task Definitions via the “Click here to Manage Task Definitions” button. See the “Activities on Task Definitions” topic for instructions. From the Evidence Definition screen you can add new Evidence Definitions, Delete Evidence Definitions and Edit Evidence Definitions.

  4. To edit an Evidence Definition, Click on the Edit  Icon next to an Evidence Definition name. This will give you the edit screen for an Evidence Definition:

  5. Name: the “what” - a unique and understandable label for what the evidence is.

  6. Method: the "how" – what a person is expected to do to provide that evidence.
