Inputs

Purpose

Process inputs are items that originate from outside the process and provide information that is used to carryout the objectives of the process. Inputs can trigger the initiation of the process, or provide information that the process needs to meet the objectives of the process.

Inputs can also be defined at the task level. In this case, tasks perform a series of steps that turn the input into a value-ˇadded output.
